How do I become a member?

First, let the church know you wish to join. This can be done in one of several ways: 1) talk to a church staff member after a worship service or sometime during the week (the church number is 323-3735), 2) fill out the tear-off tab on the bulletin and place it in the offering plate during a worship service, or 3) come down front during the invitation time and declare your desire to join our church. Second, you’ll need to attend our Information Class (see below). Once you’ve done that, your name will be brought before the church for a vote on your membership, and this vote will likely take place during one of our Sunday evening services.

What is the “Information Class” like?

Very informal and, we hope, enjoyable. For a few hours one Sunday night, you will have the opportunity to talk with our pastor about anything and everything having to do with our church. He will share with you who we are at Adaton, how to get involved, and the responsibilities of membership. It’s also an opportunity to get to know our pastor and to build relationships with others in our church before you even join! If you aren't sure whether or not you would like to join Adaton but would like to learn more about the church, please sign up for the information class anyway. Attending the class does not obligate you to join our church, but it is necessary if you choose to do so.

How can I get more involved at Adaton?

We have many opportunities to serve at Adaton, whether through attending a Sunday School class, singing in the choir, or volunteering in one of the ministries of the church. Please contact us using one of the above methods for more information.

I have questions about becoming a Christian. Can I talk with someone from Adaton about this?

Yes! Our mission is to tell everyone about the beauty of Christ and of his love for us! Please contact the church office (323-3735) or you can fill out the form on the prayer request page and submit that with the subject: "About Becoming A Christian."

I need counseling. Can someone at Adaton speak with me?

Yes. Please call the church office (323-3735) and we will connect you with a pastor for counseling, or you can email the pastor at jdshaw@adaton.org.
